The Foundation of the Commission

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age, Amen'"
(Matthew 28:18-20, NKJV).

Why is it called the Great Commission

“THE” because there is one premier mission of the church.

“GREAT” because the mission is preeminent.

“COMMISSION” because it is the assigned marching orders of the Spirit-filled church.

Mission Statement

To unite the entire Church Family in a biblical study of the Great Commission and how to fulfill God’s plan of engaging the un-churched through the equipping ministry of the Holly Spirit.

Welcome to Christ Family Church,

Jesus said “all authority has been given me in heaven and in earth, go and make disciples,”  This authority He is talking about is the Exousia power.  Exousia carries with it the idea of active power, divine, irresistible influence; the complete ability to do what he desires.  As a leader/teacher I committed to set an example and “go the extra mile” in prayer, preparation, practice, and partnership.

I am committed to:

TO PRAY that the Holy Spirit will bring us together in unity and harmony to understand His plan for our church in fulfilling The Great Commission.

TO PREPARE thoroughly to lead/teach/preach and to create an atmosphere where each person feels belonging and ownership.

TO PRACTICE what I teach/preach and demonstrate what I advocate in embracing the responsibilities of The Great Commission.

TO PARTNER with the church family in being a congregation the manifests love for the lost and demonstrate active participation in sowing Gospel seeds and reaping the harvest.

As the Lord is my helper, I will set an example and “go the second mile” in performing ministry as a leader/teacher/preacher.
